Rights & Licensing

Ownership, commercial rights and AI rights stay separate.

AEUC should help creators document what they own, what collaborators agreed to, what buyers may do and whether any AI use was separately licensed. Buying creative content never silently grants AI-training permission.

Core rules

  • Marketplace purchase does not grant AI-training rights unless separately and explicitly licensed.
  • Ownership, commercial-use permission and AI permission are separate fields.
  • Material rights transfers require human-readable terms and explicit party approval.
  • Rights history is append-only for audit purposes; corrections create a new event rather than erasing the prior event.
