AEUC Marketplace
Marketplace Rules & Policies
Effective August 4, 2026
These rules protect buyers, sellers, and the AEUC community. By creating an account, opening a store, listing a product, or completing a purchase, you agree to follow these rules and all applicable laws.
1. Our Community Standard
- Treat buyers, sellers, AEUC staff, and community members respectfully.
- Do not engage in harassment, discrimination, threats, fraud, or deceptive conduct.
- Provide truthful and current account, business, contact, and payout information.
2. Seller Verification
- Sellers must complete AEUC Marketplace verification and Stripe payout verification when required.
- AEUC may request identity, business, tax, banking, licensing, or product information.
- Sellers must keep their information current and respond to verification requests.
- AEUC may suspend stores that cannot be verified or do not provide required information.
3. Product Listings
- Listings must accurately describe the product, price, condition, quantity, shipping cost, and delivery expectations.
- Sellers may only use images, names, trademarks, and content they own or are authorized to use.
- Fake reviews, counterfeit products, misleading claims, hidden fees, and bait-and-switch listings are prohibited.
- Sellers must keep inventory accurate and remove unavailable products.
4. Prohibited and Restricted Products
- Illegal, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, unsafe, or fraudulently represented products are prohibited.
- Illegal drugs, drug-making equipment, adult sexual content, fake identification, explosives, hazardous materials, and illegal weapons are prohibited.
- Products that violate copyrights, trademarks, patents, privacy rights, or other intellectual-property rights are prohibited.
- Items prohibited by Stripe or applicable law cannot be sold through AEUC Marketplace.
- Regulated products require prior AEUC approval and all required licenses.
5. Marketplace Fees and Payouts
- AEUC Marketplace currently charges sellers a 5% marketplace commission on completed sales.
- Stripe processing fees, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, taxes, and other disclosed adjustments may affect seller payouts.
- Payouts may be delayed while an order, refund, dispute, verification review, or suspected violation is investigated.
- Sellers are responsible for their income, sales, and other applicable tax obligations.
6. Shipping and Fulfillment
- Sellers must ship within the time promised in the listing.
- If no shipping time is stated, sellers must normally ship within 30 days as required by federal law.
- If an order cannot ship on time, the seller must notify the buyer and provide the legally required cancellation or refund option.
- Tracking information must be accurate. Falsifying shipment or delivery information is prohibited.
7. Returns, Refunds, and Disputes
- Sellers must clearly display and honor their shipping and return policies.
- A seller policy cannot remove rights provided to buyers by applicable law.
- Sellers must respond promptly to reports of missing, damaged, counterfeit, incorrect, or materially misrepresented products.
- AEUC may review transaction records and communications when helping resolve a dispute.
8. Buyer Responsibilities
- Buyers must provide accurate payment, contact, and delivery information.
- Fraudulent purchases, chargeback abuse, account misuse, and attempts to avoid payment are prohibited.
- Buyers should contact the seller or AEUC Marketplace when an order problem occurs.
- Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and must not contain threats, harassment, or knowingly false statements.
9. High-Volume Sellers
- Sellers meeting federal high-volume thresholds must provide the information required by the INFORM Consumers Act.
- AEUC may verify and disclose qualifying seller information when required by law.
- Qualifying sellers who do not provide required information may be suspended until they comply.
10. Enforcement
- AEUC may hide listings, reject applications, restrict features, suspend stores, or permanently close accounts that violate these rules.
- Serious fraud, safety, legal, payment, or verification concerns may result in immediate action.
- High-risk or final adverse decisions should receive human review whenever reasonably appropriate.
- Illegal activity may be reported to payment providers or government authorities when required.
Policy Changes
AEUC Marketplace may update these rules as the marketplace, laws, payment requirements, and available services change. Material changes will be posted on this page.
